The Gibson Guitar factory in Montana is finishing a project to honour what would have been the 70th birthday of Beatles singer and guitarist John Lennon. Gibson Acoustic’s director of sales and marketing, Robi Johns, tells the Bozeman Daily Chronicle that Yoko Ono asked the company to release a limited number of J-160Es — the model of guitar her husband played.

Jim Carrey remains the most powerful Canadian actor, according to Canadian Business magazine’s fourth annual Celebrity Power List, our ranking of the most powerful actors in Hollywood. This is thanks in part to the success of the actor’s most recent film, the animated Horton Hears a Who! Three people fell off the list in 2008: Anna Paquin, Evangeline Lilly and Matthew Perry. They were replaced by two familiar faces, Hayden Christensen and Brendan Fraser, who both appeared on the 2006 list, and a new one: Ellen Page, who made her mark as a pregnant teen quick with the witty one-liners in Juno.
